One of the walls at at Milford weir collapsed this afternoon, sometime around 4pm. It is not known what caused the wall at one of Carlow’s favourite beauty spots to fall down on to the Barrow track below – whether it was natural causes or contact from a vehicle on the notoriously tight bend at the bridge. The area is extremely popular with walkers but thankfully no-one was injured. The county council has been informed and we will update this story when more information becomes available.
