AN APP which aims to promote Bagenalstown and all that it has to offer will be launched this Friday.
The town will launch its brand new app with Xplore and it will feature all businesses and amenities in Bagenalstown. On the app, businesses will be separated by categories such as food, clothing and so forth, based on the services they offer. The app will also feature self-guided tours, local news segments and much more. The Xplore app can be downloaded on the App Store for Apple users and on the Google Play Store for those with Android phones.
The Bagenalstown Area Chamber has been working for many months on developing the app and is delighted to have it available for the summer, with all businesses beginning to reopen. Chamber chairperson Colin Rea is looking forward to getting the app out into people’s phones.
He said: “The chamber committee has been working really hard over the last few months with Xplore in getting the app developed. We’re delighted to have it finished and we’re looking forward to having people in the community, and even the hinterlands, using the app.”
Maevita De Barros, a member of the Xplore team, and local racehorse trainer Willie Mullins will be in Bagenalstown on Friday promoting the launch of the app, along with members of Bagenalstown Area Chamber and business owners from the town. Representatives of the Local Enterprise Office will also promote the launch along with local political representatives.
