CARLOW sprinter Marcus Lawler continues to work hard in Japan in the final stages of his preparations ahead of his appearance at this year’s Olympic Games.

Marcus and training partner Tom Barr both released videos on their respective Instagram pages of an on track session at the Ecopa Stadium in Fukuroi City.

Marcus, and Carlow’s eventing star Sam Watson, will be part of the Irish team at the opening ceremony which takes place on Friday 23 July at 12 noon Irish time.

Lawler will be on track for the 200m heats on 3 August at 3.05am, Irish time.
