CARLOW’S Cillian Redmond has signed a contract with London Irish after a recent successful trail period.
The talented all-rounder played GAA football for Kildavin/Clonegal and hurled for Ballinkillen and recently played the second half of a challenge game for London Irish against Connacht.
The former Tullow RFC man represented his club in the 2018 Towns Cup final against Enniscorthy and played for Leinster at U18 and U19 level, as well as for Leinster ‘A’ and also played for Lansdowne in the AIL but will now link up with fellow Carlow man Sean O’Brien at London Irish.
Former Ireland Head Coach Declan Kidney is Director of Football for London Irish and he was pleased to announce the signing of Redmond as part of a double signing with Ciaran Parker.
“We’re pleased to welcome both of the guys to the squad. Cillian has impressed during his time with us and will strengthen our options on the wing,” Kidney told the London Irish website
