A great example of sportsmanship was caught by photographer Michael O’Rourke last Sunday during the Nationalist Premier Division game between New Oak Boys and Crettyard.

Even during a closely fought encounter, that eventually finished in a scoreless draw, New Oak’s Danny Thompson still had time to help out the stricken Mikey Byrne of Crettyard during his time of need. Great to see sportsmanship alive and well in the heat of battle in the Carlow Soccer League!
