A PERFECT day out awaits visitors to the award-winning Patthana Garden in Kiltegan, which is in full bloom for the month of August
The garden is now serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes, all baked at Patthana and served on vintage china every Sunday to garden visitors.
On Sunday 21 August at 2pm, Patthana’s TJ Maher will lead a walk and talk around the garden, including the new Torc garden, which is now two years’ old. He will be looking at some of the best plants to introduce late summer colour to your garden. This talk is free with garden entry and does not need to be booked. Visitors are encouraged to bring a notebook and pen to take names of plants and tips on how to grow them. A selection of plants for late summer colour will also be on sale.
The profile of the renowned garden continues to grow. A six-page feature on Patthana Garden appears in this month’s edition of The English Garden, with pictures by the acclaimed English photographer Jason Ingram.
The garden also gets a main feature in the September edition of UK publication House and Gardens with words by Clare Foster, which is available now in newsagents.
The garden is open noon to 5pm every Sunday until the first Sunday in October.
