“Game of my Life” is a series of books being published for every county by Hero Books. Hero books is the brainchild of former Carlow football manager and Meath great Liam Hayes. This book was written by John Kelly of Tinryland and in it there are interviews with thirty former Carlow players, across both codes from the 1960’s right up to the present day. Each player picks one game from their career, the game of their life that stood out for whatever reason while at the same time going back a little over each player’s career in the process. The book starts with Tommy Corcoran and his early days in an Eire Óg jersey and goes all the way up to current player Marty Kavanagh, who talks about St. Mullins run to the Leinster final and many great days in a Carlow Jersey. There are many great stories and wonderful memories in between of great days out in both hurling and football in the county, both at club and county level.
