Yoga is one of the activities included in the wellness programme

Connecting with nature is good for the soul

By Elizabeth Lee

HOW does forest bathing or bee therapy sound? Or even taking a chance on winter elixirs or taking a sauna in a horse box, rounded off with music by Mundy?

That’s what on offer during the Lisnavagh Wellness Festival, which takes place in October in the gorgeous grounds of Lisnavagh estate near Rathvilly.

The eclectic mix of events will include live sessions headed by Mundy, restorative contrasts of forest bathing and sound bathing, ground-breaking bee therapy and toning one’s senses through somatics and dance.

Organiser Emily Bunbury said that it will be the perfect way to unplug and connect with nature during the silent forest rave or to learn the art of meditation and enjoy the immunity boost of the winter elixirs and the energising potions from the chai and juice bars.

With enlightening talks about intuition, yoga, poetry and much more in the Lisnavagh library, there will also be an opportunity for crafters, bakers and makers to showcase their health and wellbeing inspired products.

The wellness festival takes place at the Lisnavagh estate, Rathvilly on 15 and 16 October.
