Tullow Youth Project, performing at Carlow Little Theatre’s production of ‘Shakespeare in Pieces’ last summer

By Elizabeth Lee

EVER fancied treading the boards of your local stage or even becoming involved in writing, stage direction or production?

Then, Tullow Youth Project has an exciting proposition because they are looking for people to help develop a new youth theatre in the area. This exciting initiative is part of a wider collaboration with Youth Theatre Ireland and is designed to encourage young people who are interested in the creative dramatic arts to become involved in what will be a unique opportunity to develop something great for themselves and their community.

Tullow Youth Project is part of the wider Carlow Regional Youth Services provision, which facilitates youth work opportunities for young people aged between 12-24 years to develop their social and personal skills.

This is achieved by providing a variety of programmes to meet the needs of young people in Tullow and surrounding environs. The creation of youth theatre is just the latest programme in an ever-evolving schedule of events.
