AMERICAN Grand National winner Hewick received a huge welcome as he returned to Bagenalstown this afternoon, and he even had time to call in to say hello to stunned punters in the The Pint Depot.

The horse made headlines across the world with a brilliant win in Far Hills earlier this month with jockey Jordan Gainford on board.

It was such a convincing win for the ‘Shark’ Hanlon horse that he could now be aimed at the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Such talk is for the future though and today was all about celebrating what the horse and trainer have already achieved.
