A ‘SEMI-CONTINENTAL vibe’ without losing any of its true Carlow feel, Carlow Farmers’ Market has found a new home.

Carlow Farmers’ Market has now moved to the nearby outdoor venue The Exchange, also located at Potato Market – Carlow’s newest and trendiest outdoor space.

Carlow Farmers’ Market will host its official opening at The Exchange this Saturday, 19 November, with the market trading from both inside The Exchange and just outside.

To celebrate the move, the market is inviting all its customers old and new to its ‘Market Munchies’ event this Saturday from 10am until 2pm. This amazing event is sponsored by Carlow County Council and the Local Enterprise Office.

At Market Munchies, chefs Alan Walton and Paul Lysaght will gather everything the market has to offer and produce finger food and samples for all to taste and savour – a delicious event not to be missed.

“The Exchange is an amazing project, which caters for an ever-increasing need of roofed outdoor venues,” said Josephine Plettenberg, secretary of Carlow Farmers’ Market.

“While it offers shelter from rain and wind, snow and hail and all other weathers that the market endured over the years, it still keeps the outdoor atmosphere, so essential to farmers’ markets and other events,” she added.
