Catherine Lawlor Ryan

St. Brigid’s Crescent, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow, January 22nd 2023 (Peacefully) in St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her mother Breda. Sadly missed by her loving husband Jerry, daughter Charlene, grandchildren Sarah, Lily and Hayley, Charlene’s partner Sam, brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Somers Funeral Home Bagenalstown on Wednesday afternoon from 2pm to 7pm. Removal from Funeral Home on Thursday Morning arriving at St. Andrew’s Church Bagenalstown for Funeral Mass at 11.am. Cremation will take place afterwards in Mount Jerome Crematorium Dublin.

James (Jimmy) Donegan

64 St Killian’s Crescent and formerly 27 Barrack St. Carlow, passed away unexpectedly, on January 23rd, 2023, at his home.

Cherished brother of Treasa, Michael, Mary, Kathleen.

He will be sadly missed by his loving brother, sisters, brothers-in-law Tony, Kevin and Jim, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Barrack St., from 3pm on Tuesday with Prayer’s that evening at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday at 11.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.

Terry (Teresa) Foley

Newgardens, Carlow and formerly of Nurney, Carlow, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family on January 22nd 2023 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Jim (James) and by her daughter Marie Louise. Beloved mother of Helen, Mary, Thomas, Barbara, Katrina, John and James and a cherished grandmother of Louise, Benjamin, Jessica, Conor, Jim, Eva, Seán, Dara, Kevin and Luke, and great-grandchild Brónagh. She is also mourned by her brother Dennis, sister Josephine, extended family of sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and all her relatives and friends.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle on Tuesday evening from 3pm followed by removal at 6.30pm to the Cathedral of the Assumption to arrive for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mary Hackett (née Murphy)

Ardough, Bilboa, Carlow and formerly of Dundrum, Dublin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on January 23rd, 2023, at her son’s residence, An Bun Beag, Dún na nGall.

Beloved wife of Bart, much loved mother of Sheila and Niall, adored grandmother of Étaín, Donnfhlaith, Muireann, Maiú and Reuben cherished sister of Martin, Maurice, Bridie, Kay, Hannah, Sue and the late Bob, much loved daughter of the late Maurice and Molly.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, son, daughter, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Máire and Dawn, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, her many nephews and nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.

Donegal, on Tuesday, January 24th, from 5pm, concluding with Rosary at 8pm, before onward journey to Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Barrack St., Carlow for Repose on Wednesday from 5pm-8pm, with Prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Thursday at 10.30am to The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mayo, Co Laois, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
