Sheila Brett (nèe Kelly)

Kilmacahill, Paulstown, Co. Kilkenny and formerly of Templelyon, Redcross, Co. Wicklow. Sheila passed away (Peacefully) surrounded by her loving family on March 8th 2023. Beloved wife of the late Jim and mother of the late Seamus. Deeply regretted by her loving family Marian, Liam, Julian and Imelda. She will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, relatives and many loving friends.

May Sheila’s Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Somers Funeral Home, Bagenalstown on Thursday afternoon from 2.pm to 8.pm with Funeral Prayers at 7.pm. Removal on Friday morning arriving at The Church of the Assumption, Paulstown for Funeral Mass at 11.am. Burial afterwards in the Holy Family Cemetery, Paulstown.

 

Byrne, Seán (John C)

“Windrush”, Lecarrow, Strandhill, Co. Sligo

and formerly of Milford, Co. Carlow and Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, March 8th 2023, unexpectedly at Sligo University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Late staff of Irish Life.

Predeceased by his sisters Angela Dermody and Mary Nolan. Dearly loved husband of Margaret (née Hayden) and father of Elizabeth Gordon (Manchester) and Bridín Conroy (Castleknock, Dublin). He will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, daughters, sister Betty (Manchester), sons-in-law Denis and Tony, grandchildren Shaun, Shannon, Holly, Poppy and Alexander, great-grandchildren Erin and Leo, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at his home (F91X765) on Friday, March 10th, from 5pm until 7pm. Family home private at all other times. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, March 11th, at 11am in Saint Patrick’s Church, Strandhill, Co. Sligo and will be livestreamed via www.churchservices.tv/strandhill. Burial follows in Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Scarden, Strandhill Road, Sligo.

Joseph (Joe) Gahan

Paulville House, Tullow, Co. Carlow, 7th March, 2023, in the loving care of his niece Margaret and Michael Connaughton’s family, Vicarstown, Stradbally. Sadly missed by his brother Fr. James, his sister Rita O’Byrne, sister-in-law Terry Gahan, nephews, nieces, extended family, friends and loyal neighbours. Predeceased by his sisters Mary, Stasia and Eileen, brothers Fr. John and Donal.

Requiescat in Pace

Reposing at his nephew’s residence John and Catherine O’Byrne’s, Knocklow, Tullow, Co. Carlow (Eircode R93 YR76) on Thursday from 2pm until 6pm. Removal at 6.30pm to Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Tullow for Reception prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Friday followed by burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow. Mass will be streamed on Tullow Parish Church webcam. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to Cairdeas Centre, Tullow or Tullow Day Care Centre.
