SPECULATION is high, but there is still no confirmation of a tenant for the new IDA facility at Dublin Road, Carlow.

Cllr John Cassin raised the issue at last Thursday’s meeting of Carlow Municipal District and asked if there had been any indication of a tenant from IDA Ireland as the new site looked “very close to being finished”.

Known as Carlow Advance Building Solution, the facility is over 31,000sq ft on a two-and-a-half-hectare site on Carlow’s Dublin Road.

Acting director of service Kieran Cullinane confirmed that council executives had been in contact with IDA Ireland, but there has been “no confirmation of a tenant”.
