PETER McConnon has been appointed as new Carlow GAA Head of Operations.

Peter McConnon has been appointed Carlow GAA’s new Head of Operations.

A decorated player during his playing days for the Round Towers club in his native Kildare, he was also an important player for Mick O’Dwyer’s Kildare team during the early to mid-90s. He managed Kildare to a Leinster U21 title in 2004.
He has been living in Carlow for many years now and has become a valuable member of the Palatine club, where he has been involved in the coaching of numerous teams. He also had a spell as manager of the Carlow U21 footballers.
In a tweet posted today, Carlow GAA said:
“The former Kildare county player & Palatine clubman will bring a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the role. We wish Peter well in this important position.”
