A SAFETY crossing is urgently needed from the Liberty Tree to Hickson’s Centra, stated a local councillor.

At last week’s meeting of Carlow Municipal District Cllr Tom O’Neill pointed out that “a lot of people cross at this location” in Potato Market and that a proper pedestrian crossing was urgently needed.

Town engineer Barry Knowles confirmed that a pedestrian crossing at this location was included in the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund (URDF).
