A MINI-basketball court, accessibility footpath and parking are currently underway at Hanover Park, with a new playground also in the pipeline.
At Carlow Municipal District’s meeting last week, town engineer Barry Knowles confirmed that An Bord Pleanála had granted approval for phase two of Hanover Park, with work already underway. This includes an accessibility footpath, car parking and a mini-basketball court. He stated a tendering process for an accessibility footpath and inclusive playgrounds had begun; however, phase two will be completed before work on the playground begins.
Mayor of Carlow cllr Fintan Phelan welcomed the work at Hanover Park, adding that the park had “transformed” over the last two years.
