
Walter Lacey has been appointed as a Commissioner For Oaths in the Supreme Court by Chief Justice Donal ODonnell

A FORMER member of Carlow local authority has been appointed commissioner for oaths by the Supreme Court.
Walter Lacey, a former member of Carlow Town Council and Carlow County Council, was appointed as a commissioner for oaths in the Supreme Court by the Chief Justice Donal O’Donnell in March.
Mr Lacey has been a peace commissioner since 2000, when he was appointed by then minister for justice Michael McDowell.
Mr Lacey served the people of Carlow for 30 years, having first been elected to Carlow Town Council in 1989 and to Carlow County Council in 1991
He began his political life as a Progressive Democrat and then ran successfully as an Independent councillor.
