FANCY trying something new and discovering your inner creativity – all for free!

The wonderful Bagenalstown in Bloom is back on Saturday and Sunday 10-11 June with a series of arts and crafts workshops featuring a huge variety of skills and activities.

The festival is organised by Bagenalstown Improvement Group and supported by Kilkenny/Carlow ETB.

On Saturday 10 June there’s a feast of workshops taking place. A summer cooking demo takes place from 10am to noon and again at 2pm to 4pm. To book your place, contact Teresa Cunningham on 087 7970597 (after 6pm).

A fairy door workshop runs from 10am to 1pm. To secure your spot, contact Teresa Cunningham on 087 7970597. Pictures in jewellery takes place from 2pm to 5pm and for more, contact [email protected].

Basket making is on from 10am to 5pm. For details on this, contact Keara O’Dea on 087 6995420 (after 6pm).

From 10am to noon there’s Portraits of Things I love (parents and child over five years). To book your place, contact [email protected].

Yoga Beginners is on from 10am to 11.30am, with mixed level yoga from 11.30am to 1pm and again at 2pm to 3.30pm. For details on yoga or to book your place, contact [email protected] or 087 6211599.

A dry-felting workshop takes place from 10.30am to 1pm – contact Tommy Cox on 089 2153018, while stained glass making is on from 10am to 1pm – contact [email protected] for more on this.

A deep-roots flower container workshop is on from 2pm to 5pm – contact Tommy Cox on 089 2153018.

On Sunday 11 June there is one final workshop on how to start a cut flower patch from 1pm to 4pm. For details, contact Tommy Cox on 089 2153018.

All workshops are run by an ETB tutor and are free. To book a place, contact the name assigned to the workshop. All are encouraged to do so early because places are limited.
